This course explores the American history after the Civil War. The course is intended for students to learn how America became a new urbanizing and industrializing landscape. The course will mainly focus on topics like: immigration, conflicts on immigrants, classes and racial divisions, urbanization, progressivism; consumerism, Reaganism. Questions like how did the US develop from the end of the Civil War to a world power will also be discussed.
